BURRS, MOREIRA BUMPED TO SVPS PROMOTION AT RCA/JIVE, RMG

Named Heads of Rock Music, Adult Music Promo
Bill Burrs and Adrian Moreira are climbing the corporate ladder, both being named SVPs Promo at RCA/JIVE and RCA Music Group, for Rock and Adult Music, respectively.

Burrs has been promoted to SVP Rock Music Promotion for RCA/JIVE Label Group from VP. He will continue to report to RMG EVP Promotion Richard Palmese, and will now also add JIVE Label Group EVP Promotion Joe Riccitelli and Foo FightersDave Grohl.

Burrs began his career at RCA as Sr. Director Rock Promotion in 1999, co-signing My Morning Jacket, working closely with Foo Fighters and Kings of Leon as well as The Strokes. He previously worked his way up at Geffen Records from a Chicago regional to Sr. Director, Rock & Alternative Promotion, where he worked with such acts as Nirvana, Counting Crows, Beck, Hole and Rob Zombie, among others. Bill got his start at Zoo Entertainment before moving to Geffen in 1992.

Commented Palmese: “Bill’s knowledge and love of music is held in high regard by both artists and executives alike. His commitment to our music and the results delivered have been extraordinary.”

Added Riccitelli: “This is a well-deserved promotion for one of the most passionate rock guys in the music business.”

Moreira has been promoted to SVP Adult Music for RCA Music Group. He will continue to direct the label’s radio promotion efforts to all Adult radio formats, including Adult Top 40, Mainstream AC and AAA, continuing to report to Palmese.

Moreira has been with RCA for the past decade beginning his tenure as Sr. Director, Modern Adult, working with Christina Aguilera, Kings of Leon, Sarah McLachlan, Dave Matthews Band, Kelly Clarkson and Leona Lewis, among others.

Before RCA, Moreira held positions at London/Sire working up to Senior Director, Promotion. Previously, he worked at Geffen Records and Sony Music Distribution.
