Give it up for Decca’s Chris Roberts and Paul Foley, not to mention UMG’s resident soundtrack genius Kathy Nelson, for catapulting Mamma Mia! to the top of this week’s HITS Album chart, with nearly 130k in sales.

Hollywood teen chanteuse Miley Cyrus remains at #2 with her Breakout, now approaching 700k since release.

Atlantic’s Kid Rock, without the help of iTunes, is up to #3, registering 90k in sales, followed by last week’s chart-topper, Mercury Nashville’s Sugarland (#4), with Cash Money/Universal Motown’s Lil Wayne (#5) rounding out the Top 5.

Capitol’s Coldplay is #6, with The Inc./Universal Motown R&B crooner Lloyd’s Lessons in Love the top debut at #7.

Def Jam/IDJ’s Rihanna is resurgent, moving to #8 with a shopping 39% boost, thanks to the smash single “Take a Bow” and a Circuit City TV spot, while Disney’s Camp Rock keeps on at #9. Curb/WB country singer Heidi Newfield is the Top 10’s only other newcomer with her album What Am I Waiting For?

Other Top 50 debuts are registered by SBMG Nashville’s Keith Anderson (#12), Eleven Seven Music’s Trapt (#17), Merge’s Conor Oberst (#18), Thrive’s Total Dance 2008, Vol. 2 (#20), Victory’s Hawthorne Heights (#23), Mercury Nashville’s Jamey Johnson (#27), Nonesuch’s Randy Newman (#32) and Solidstate’s Norma Jean (#41).

Interscope’s M.I.A. returns to the charts at #45, thanks to airplay for her single “Paper Planes” in the Pineapple Express TV trailers, as does Columbia’s Miranda Lambert (#49).

Aside from Rihanna, the week’s other big gainer is Verity gospel artist Marvin Sapp, whose Thirsty climbs #47-33, +36%.

Hollywood’s Jonas Brothers (#11, +4%), J/RMG’s Leona Lewis (#22, +4%) and Columbia’s Metro Station (#46, +1%) also experience a sales uptick.

Hitting the streets this week is the Jonas Brothers’ new Hollywood album, which will debut at #1, with the only question how high it can go. Other releases include Interscope reggaeton star Daddy Yankee, Bad Boy’s Janelle Monet, Epic’s Yung Berg and MTV’s American Mall soundtrack.
