Schaidler will oversee SBMG’s combined physical and digital sales division, working with the company’s various labels and divisions to break new artists, and build an even stronger retail presence for established artists. She will act as the company’s chief liaison to the physical and digital retail communities, and work closely with the company’s labels to develop fully integrated sales initiatives for both the traditional retail environment, as well as for online and mobile platforms. And then, on the seventh day, she’ll rest.

Added Schaidler: "I’m delighted to be joining Sony BMG. The company is home to absolutely amazing artists, a broad array of legendary record labels, and some of the best executive talent in the business. It’s both a personal pleasure and a professional honor to be joining the company’s management team, and I look forward to working with the entire sales team as we develop strategies that span the physical and digital worlds, and deliver meaningful results. And continue not taking Pearson’s phone calls."
