mtvU LAUNCHES ONLINE
CAMPUS DAILY GUIDES

Online Directories to 25 Colleges Offer Advertising, Social Network Opportunities
mtvU, MTV’s 24-hour college network, has launched Campus Daily Guide, the first-ever, one-stop, online directory of local resources created specifically for college students.

Campus Daily Guide provides details about millions of local events, restaurants, nightlife, movies, sports, music and more, specific to individual college campus communities.

Launching first on 25 of the largest college campuses in the U.S., the Campus Daily Guides connect students with campus headline news from mtvU’s College Media Network (CMN), the largest interactive network of online newspapers in the U.S., professor ratings from RateMyProfessors.com, the Internet’s largest listing of collegiate professor ratings, and to local and national mtvU programming.

Powered by Zvents, the mtvU Campus Daily Guides actively aggregate local content, letting users conduct comprehensive local “what, when and where” searches for millions of events, time-based promotions, venues, performers, and other local activities using natural search queries. Users and local performers can also add and promote their own events and activities. Content is provided by Zvents’ more than 250 media partners, through web crawlers, and user-generated content.

mtvU GM Stephen Friedman commented: “mtvU’s Campus Daily Guides marry mtvU’s programming with all of the resources students need within the college bubble. With access to millions of local listings and resources, we’re simplifying students’ experience and providing national, regional and local advertisers a powerful connection to this hard to reach audience.”

mtvU’s Campus Daily Guides offer a new vehicle for advertisers to reach college students. The Campus Daily Guides feature targeted banner advertising and free and paid event and promotion listings for merchants to grab the attention of students. mtvU is also working closely with CMN affiliates in the regions launching Campus Daily Guides to collaborate on content and local advertising efforts.

By the end of 2008, mtvU will launch a total of 50 Campus Daily Guides on major college campuses across the country. The first 25 Universities with mtvU Campus Daily Guides include: Ohio State, Arizona State, University of Maryland, University of Texas, University of Central Florida, University of South Florida, University of Washington, University of Michigan, Florida State, University of Arizona, University of Cincinnati, University of Houston, North Carolina State, University of Colorado, University of Wisconsin, University of South Carolina, Columbus University of Pittsburgh, University of Kentucky, University of New Mexico, George Washington, Northeastern, University of Nebraska, University of Pennsylvania, Northwestern and Emory.
