Springsteen's 2007-2008 tour in support of the album Magic, the most successful of his career, grossed more than $230 million worldwide.

Tour Starts in San Jose April 1, Includes L.A. (4/15), Long Island (5/4) and New Jersey (5/21, 23) Stops

As expected, Bruce Springsteen & the E Street Band will launch a North American tour this spring in support of their new album, Working on a Dream, out today on Columbia.

The first show will be April 1 in San Jose, CA.

The L.A. date will once again be at the Sports Arena on April 15, tax day, while the Boss has N.Y. area dates scheduled for Long Island's Nassau Coliseum (5/4) and New Jersey's Izod Center (5/21 and 23). There are no shows planned right now for Madison Square Garden.

North American dates are scheduled through May 23 in East Rutherford, N.J. A European tour then begins a week later at Holland's Pink Pop festival and concludes June 10 in Bergen, Norway.

There are also reports Springsteen will perform at the Bonnaroo festival in Tennessee, the weekend of June 12. Another European leg resumes July 2 in Munich.

This Sunday, Springsteen headlines the Super Bowl XLIII halftime show in Tampa.
