Skilled Executive Will Play a Big Role
on Steve Barnett’s Team
Bruce Tyler has been named Executive Vice President of Columbia Records, Chairman Steve Barnett announced today. Tyler, who’s based in New York, reports to Barnett.

In his new supervisory executive post, Tyler will work closely with Barnett and Columbia senior management in establishing and effecting the company's overall goals, direction and vision. He’ll advise and collaborate with the operations and staff of Columbia Recordsand its associated labels to promote growth and development throughout the label group.

Tyler comes to Columbia Records from Sony Music Label Group U.S., where he had been serving as EVP Promotion/Market Strategy.

Tyler came to Sony Music from Active Industry Research (AIR), one of the most respected research firms in the industry. During his tenure as CEO of the company, he oversaw all aspects of its operations.
