The Jive/ZLG superstar logs in at #1 for the second week in a row, as FutureSex/LoveSounds tallies 231k, more than enough to relegate RCA/RMG Idol alum Clay Aiken’s A Thousand Different Ways to a #2 bow, with 207k Claymates snapping up copies of his latest.

A&M/Interscope Black Eyed Pea Fergie’s solo bow, The Dutchess, earns a #3 debut with 158k, and SBMG Nashville/BNA country heartthrob Kenny Chesney’s Live Those Songs Again enters the chart at #4, with 142k.

Other Top 10 newcomers include Verve jazz chanteuse Diana Krall’s From This Moment On (#6), Atlantic reggaeton upstart Lupe Fiasco’s Lupe Fiasco’s Food & Liquor (#8) and Capitol rap star Chingy’s Hoodstar (#9).

Aware/Columbia’s John Mayer (#5), labelmate Beyonce (#7) and Universal Republic’s rock development story of the year Hinder (#10) are all holdovers. In all, Sony BMG sports five of the Top Seven on the chart.

Other chart debuts are registered by Hollywood’s Jesse McCartney (#15), Rocket/Universal’s Elton John (#17), Geffen emo-rockers New Found Glory (#19), Koch rap veterans Bone Thugs-N-Harmony (#21), Megaforce rockers Mushroomhead (#30), A&M/Interscope guitar phenom Jonny Lang (#34), Universal Music Latino’s Paulina Rubino (#37) and Burgundy/Sony BMG New Orleans soul legend Aaron Neville’s Bring It on Home…The Soul Classics (#40), the highest debut ever for the man who had a #1 single with “Tell It Like It Is” in 1966. The album is on a new catalog imprint helmed by Joe DiMuro.

Epic’s The Fray, thanks to exposure on Grey’s Anatomy, have the highest sales gain for the week, moving #18-14 with a 56% jump, followed by A&M/Interscope’s Snow Patrol (#34-29, +10%), also benefiting from songs featured in the DVD release of Grey’s Anatomy and Zach Braff’s new movie The Last Kiss, and Hinder (+8%).

IDJ’s Ludacris tops the list of releases headed for next week’s chart, followed by Virgin’s Janet Jackson, SBMG Nashville’s Alan Jackson, Columbia’s Tony Bennett and Universal Republic’s Scissors Sisters.
