IVANA: here's the question that has been keeping me up at night: is curling a game or a sport?
LENNY: is golf a game or a sport?
IVANA: that isn’t the question. i am not plagued by thoughts of golf
LENNY: i am not plagued by thoughts of curling
IVANA: which you think of as a sport or a game?
LENNY: mostly it just makes me laugh
IVANA: then you agree, it's a game
LENNY: sports can make a person laugh
IVANA: only when the ice dancers are landing face first
LENNY: that is really cool
IVANA: and you like the stoner snowboarders. who listen to their ipods while competeing
LENNY: and call everyone DUDE. and i love tanithin belbin
IVANA: although more people know the names of the american idol finalists than the olympic gold medalists
LENNY: and speaking of the winter olympics, i love the arctic monkeys song
IVANA: what kind of segue is that?
LENNY: i thought we should talk about some music. will you do the interpol dance when it comes on the radio
IVANA: no, i will do the arctic monkeys dance. which differs from the arcade fire dance or the spoon dance
LENNY: mostly you do the uncoordinated jewish girl dance, which i think is always the same
IVANA: did you know that 1 in 86 people in england already own the arctic monkeys cd? it has sold over 700k in 4 weeks in the uk
LENNY: do they look good on the dance floor
IVANA: definitely. whatever people say, that’s what i’m not came out today in the states. i'm going to buy that and the new lashes cd at amoeba after work
LENNY: what other new music do you like?
IVANA: i love this band on wind-up called people in planes. their single is the best title of the year: "if you talk too much my head will explode"
LENNY: not exactly my power alley, being in planes scares the shit outta me
IVANA: it's interesting to note how many female-fronted bands are being embraced by radio right now
LENNY: morningwood, damone, yeah yeah yeahs....
IVANA: flyleaf and the sounds
LENNY: is the sounds getting radio support now?
IVANA: they will on their new single, "song with a mission."
LENNY: very cool
IVANA: morningwood is going on tour with them after sxsw. my other favorite song title is "hot topic is not punk rock" by mc lars
LENNY: that's funny, what label?
IVANA: it's on nettwerk. i'm also in love with the new elefant record on hollywood. they're the dreamiest (elefant, not just abbey and geordie)
LENNY: i think abbey and geordie are dreamy. people with budgets turn me on
IVANA: ted is nearing the top 5 with yellowcard! and hawthorne had a breakthru week at radio: wrzx, wxdx, kedj, wxeg, kqxr, wtzr and wdyl!
LENNY: that album is gonna be really big
IVANA: next week will be a big add week at radio with new singles from coheed, the sounds and morrissey
LENNY: those are all big winners
IVANA: plus nickelback, avenged sevenfold and seether--oy!
LENNY: and big closeouts still on hooba, yeahs, godsmack, etc.
IVANA: the new coheed single, "welcome home," has always been my favorite on the record
LENNY: and the coheed-avenged co-headlining tour in the second quarter is gonna be enormous
IVANA: you'll be at ALL the shows
LENNY: of course
IVANA: if i'm not quarantined by the gov't for my raging pms tomorrow, i'm going to see nada surf, who are genius
LENNY: i am going to see the clippers and lakers friday nite at staples. It should be awesome
IVANA: even when the clippers lose?
LENNY: fuck off and die
IVANA: are we done yet?
