BERGIN PROMOTED TO SVP OF TOP 40 PROMOTION AT RMG

Palmese Announces Appointment Today
Mike Bergin (“The Beguine”) has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Top 40 Promotion for RCA Music Group. Bergin will continue to report to Richard Palmese, Executive Vice President, Promotion for RCA Music Group and will be based in the company’s New York headquarters.

Five years ago, Bergin joined J Records upon its inception as an East Coast Regional and has served as VP of Top 40 promotion for RCA Music Group for the last three years. Bergin has been instrumental in the radio campaigns for Maroon5, Gavin DeGraw, Alicia Keys, Mario, Kelly Clarkson, Avril Lavigne and Christina Aguilera. Prior to RCA, Bergin worked for London/Sire.

HITS didn’t get a comment from Davis but if we had, we’re betting he may have mentioned Santana and the Monterrey Pop Festival.
