JAY MARCIANO NAMED PRESIDENT, RADIO CITY ENTERTAINMENT

Concert Vet Makes Move to Cablevision’s Live Arm, Snuggles Up Close

Veteran concert executive Jay Marciano has been named President, Radio City Entertainment by Cablevision Systems Corporation and Madison Square Garden Vice Chairman Hank Ratner.

Radio City Entertainment is the live-entertainment arm of Cablevision and controls Radio City Music Hall, Madison Square Garden and The Theater and Expo Center at MSG.

In his new role, Marciano will be responsible for all aspects of Radio City Entertainment, including all bookings and productions at the two venerable venues and their auxiliary spaces. He will also be in charge of the annual “Radio City Christmas Spectacular,” “Christmas Across America” (scheduled for nine cities this year) and, of course, the Radio City Rockettes.

“We are pleased to welcome Jay as the new head of Radio City Entertainment,” said Ratner. “We think his entrepreneurial experience and great business acumen make him the ideal person to help grow our business and expand the brands of our world famous venues.”

Marciano was most recently Chief Strategy Officer for the live division of the Anschutz Entertainment Group, AEG Live. Prior to that he spent 18 years at Universal Concerts in various positions, ultimately as President and CEO.
