Indeed, according to early reports from national accounts, the ambitious political punk opera American Idiot (Reprise) is on track to sell around 270k for the week. That means if Nelly’s Suit (Fo Reel/Universal) falls by just 30% in its second week, Green Day could slip right in there and nab the top slot.
Also hitting the street yesterday was Keith Urban’s latest opus, Be Here (Capitol Nashville). Early reports peg the Nashville Aussie’s first week at about 150k-160k, giving it a serious shat at a Top Five chart debut.
And then there’s Chevelle’s This Type of Thinking Could Do Us In (Epic), which looks at this point like it should finish the week at about 100k, good for a Top 10 debut.
Anyway, we think it was real nice of Green Day to name their new album after us. We’ve got to remember to thank them.Site Powered by |
