TRINK A TREAT AT LAVA

VP Marketing Upped to GM of Atlantic Records Group Label by Founder Flom
Lee Trink is not only a reality TV star, he's now the GM of a label.
Trink was named to the newly created post of Lava Records General Manager by Atlantic Records Group Chairman/CEO and Lava President/Founder Jason Flom, to whom he'll report. Trink is currently appearing in the Spike-TV reality show On the Road with Sugar Ray as Mark McGrath's drum roadie.
Flom said: "Lee is a truly gifted, dynamic individual whose strength lies in his ability to motivate staff, think creatively and make things happen. His direct involvement in breaking artists such as Kid Rock, Uncle Kracker and Simple Plan have directly fueled the success of Lava Records and solidified him as the ideal candidate to continue to guide Lava Records into the future. And his Q rating is second only to Donald Trump among reality TV stars."
Trink adds: "I feel privileged to be given the chance to carry forward the pioneering work of the house that Flom built. He is one of the greatest success stories in the business and I look forward to meeting the challenge of furthering the success of the label."
Formerly the VP Marketing at the label, Trink will now assume an expanded role within the company, overseeing the label's entire day-to-day operations with the exception of A&R which will continue under the supervision of Sr. VP Andy Karp. Trink will focus on broadening the scope of Lava's market share both domestically and abroad, while carrying out the label's long-term growth plans and serving as Flom's food taster.
Prior to joining Lava, Trink was a Product Manager for Atlantic Records from 1997-2000 and was instrumental in breaking hard rockers P.O.D. as well as handling the marketing efforts on behalf of Stone Temple Pilots, among others. From 1996-1997, Trink held the position of marketing manager for Track Marketing, a New York-based music marketing firm. Prior to Track Marketing, Trink was an Assistant District Attorney for the Brooklyn D.A.'s office, served for a period of time in the Israeli Army and was Dee Snider's hair stylist.
