R. KELLY NABBED AGAIN

Jive Singer Arrested in Florida on Child Pornography Charges
Even for an album marketing campaign, this is a bit over the top.

Jive singer/songwriter R. Kelly, whose new CD Chocolate Factory is now scheduled for release next month, was arrested today in Miami on additional child pornography charges.

Investigators said they found 12 photographs of a nude girl at a home the singer was renting in Davenport, FL, about 35 miles southwest of Orlando.

Kelly, who has been out on bond and awaiting trial on 21 counts of child pornography back in his native Chicago, was arrested without incident at a Miami-Dade County hotel and is being held at the county jail, with bond set at $12,000.

Col. Grady Judd of the Polk County Sheriffs Office told reporters three photos show Kelly having sex with a female under 18. In the other nine photos, the female is nude. The photos were found last June during a search of a home Kelly rented in Davenport after he was arrested there on the Illinois warrant.

Kelly is also the subject of at least four lawsuits, three of which accuse him of having sex with underage girls.

Earlier this month, Kelly was nominated for a Grammy for his song, "The World’s Greatest" from the Ali soundtrack. A publisher a children’s book. Just last week, he was cheered by fans at the Continental Arena in New Jersey, where he performed at a concert presented by New York radio station 105.1 with Nas, Ja Rule and Fat Joe.

Kelly’s new album, originally slated to come out next Tuesday (1/28), is now scheduled for release in February. In addition, Can Fly! The R. Kelly Story, a children’s book about the singer’s rise to stardom originally published in 1998, will be re-released March 1. Author Kim Dulaney said the decision was made "due to public demand."
