Not every week is going to be the biggest non-holiday sales week ever. So, as expected,
Norah Jones’
Feels Like Home (
Blue Note) will fall off from the million it sold its debut week, and looks to move 350k-plus in its second week, making it a shoo-in for the top of HITS Album Chart this week. That’s sure to be the thing that she treasures most in her career. Though appearing this week on
Comedy Central’s
The Daily Show with Jon Stewart might edge it out.
Behind Jones’ continued phenomenal sales will be College Dropout from Kanye West (Roc-a-Fella/IDJ), looking like it should scale back by half from its debut week to end up at #2, at over 200k. The rest of the top of the chart will be Evanescence (Wind-up) with 125k, followed by Speakerboxxx/The Love Below from OutKast (Arista), Josh Groban (143/Reprise) and Kenny Chesney (BNA).
The week’s biggest debut will be the self-titled bow from Jive’s Eamon, looking like it could hit the 100k mark, on the official theme song from the HITS cesspool, “Fuck It (I Don’t Want You Back).” These truly are the salad days.
