"David Leach is exactly the kind of executive I was looking for to run the operations of BIG3. He's obviously capable of giving priority to a large number of artists at once and managing the launch and follow-through of their records from top to bottom."
——BIG3 Chairman Bill Edwards

LEACH NAMED BIG3 COO

Veteran Music Exec to Retain President/COO Title at WEG
Longtime music industry veteran David Leach has been appointed COO of BIG3 Records by Chairman Bill Edwards and CEO Qadree El-Amin.

In addition, Leach will retain his title as President/COO of Worldwide Entertainment Group, a management, publishing, promotion, marketing and event-promotion company representing Courtney Love, Duncan Sheik, Cheap Trick and Robert Earl Keen.

In his new position at BIG3, Leach will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Florida-based record company. All departments will now report directly to him, and he will oversee all marketing, sales, radio promotion, publicity and production.

Leach will spearhead each of the forthcoming BIG3 releases including albums by singer/songwriter Rachel Farris, pop/rock group Vesica Pisces, soul duo AJA, neo-soul duo Impromp2, wrestling superstar/rapper Randy "Macho Man" Savage and gospel/crossover diva Damita Haddon.

Edwards first worked with Leach when he was brought on as a consultant in September 2002.

"David Leach is exactly the kind of executive I was looking for to run the operations of BIG3," said Edwards. "He's obviously capable of giving priority to a large number of artists at once and managing the launch and follow-through of their records from top to bottom. His winning spirit and his 'get it done' work ethic will ensure a stellar future for BIG3 and our talented roster of artists."

Leach added, "I am thrilled to be a part of the dedicated BIG3 team. I especially look forward to working closly with Bill and Qadree. Bill has the qualities that remind me of two of our industry's Icons; Berry Gordy and Neil Bogart. He's got Gordy's sense of perfection in all creative areas and treats his employees and artists like family and he's got Bogart's trait for leadership and flair for show business!"

During his 25 years in the music industry, Leach has served as Executive VP of Marketing and Promotion for Edel North America.

Prior to his tenure with Edel, he served as Exec VP of Island Def Jam Music

Group. HE was Sr. VP of Promotion with Mercury starting in 1987, eventually rising to Exec VP/General Manager of Mercury Records Group in 1994.

Leach will be split his time between the company’s St. Petersburg HQ and its soon-to-be launched, New York office.
