KAZAA.COM PURCHASED

Sharman Networks Ltd. has purchased certain assets of KaZaA, including the popular consumer site KaZaA.com, distributor of KaZaA Media Desktop software. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

KaZaA is the Netherlands-based software and products company that founded KaZaA.com, a music file-sharing site.

KaZaA Media Desktop is a full-featured peer-to-peer file sharing software that allows users to search, download, organize and play media files. Included in Sharman's purchase of assets are the licenses for the FastTrack P2P Stack, the KaZaA.com Website, name, and logos.
