REYNOLDS A WRAP AT UNIVERSAL

Universal Ups Dave Reynolds To VP
Pop Promotion
"Sam &" Dave Reynolds has been promoted to Vice President of Pop Promotion for Universal Records by Sr. VP Pop Promotion Charles Foster "Freeze."

Formerly National Director of Pop Promotion, Reynolds will coordinate and implement the label’s national pop radio initiatives on behalf of such artists as Brian McKnight, Afroman, Nelly, 98 Degrees and 3 Doors Down. He works even more label acts, but forgot who they are because he got high.

Commenting on the promotion, Foster stated: "Dave is truly a stellar creative executive. His keen sense of strategy and vision, as well as his rich understanding of the ever-changing face of pop radio, has greatly assisted us in enhancing the careers of our artists. And he’s agreed to lip-synch Elton John’s next video."

Prior to joining Universal, Reynolds served as the Music Director/Morning Drive at WQMZ-FM Charlottesville, VA, where he moonlighted as a drum tech for the Dave Matthews Band. He joined Universal as the label’s Washington, DC, regional director, where he interviewed interns for government posts.

Added Reynolds: "This is such a tremendous opportunity and I would like to thank Charlie and Monte Lipman for all their continued confidence in me. Working with the entire team here—including Valerie DeLong, Steve Leeds, David Nathan, Howard Leon, Gary Marella, Paul Munsch, Damon Cox, Suzanne Perl, Warren Gesin, Martin Melius, Jessica Siracusa, Kara Bebell and the entire Universal field staff, has been one of the most professionally and personally rewarding experiences of my career. And one day, I even hope to meet some of them."
