MURPHY TAKES LOST HIGHWAY TO NASHVILLE

Veteran Publicist Named Sr. VP Media & Artist Relations for Mercury Nashville/Lost Highway
Nashville’s Irish population just doubled.

Lauren Murphy has been appointed Senior Vice President of Media & Artist Relations for Mercury Nashville and Lost Highway for Mercury Nashville Chairman/Lost Highway President Luke Lewis.

Murphy was previously Sr. VP Media & Artist Relations for The Island Def Jam Music Group.

Based in Nashville, Murphy will head both departments while developing and implementing media campaigns for Lucinda Williams, Ryan Adams, Willie Nelson and the Grammy-nominated O Brother, Where Art Thou? ST, among others. She will be joined by ex-Universal Records publicist Jim Flammia.

Said Lewis: "We are thrilled that Lauren has decided to join the Mercury Nashville and Lost Highway senior management teams. Her fresh perspective, skillful approach and consummate professionalism will greatly benefit our artists. Everyone here joins me in welcoming her aboard—with black pudding and bangers."

Commented Murphy: "I can’t believe I can live in a four-bedroom house, with a horse stable on 35 acres for what I paid for my 250-square foot studio apartment in New York."
