Clear Channel has entered into an agreement with dick clark prods. to create a weekly contemporary music series for television.

The one-hour as yet untitled program will showcase new and established music artists. The program will originate in-studio and on-location.

In addition to behind-the-scenes recording studio coverage, the series will present current music videos and feature top acts performing at one of the 135 live entertainment venues owned or operated by Clear Channel.

"It's been my pleasure to have known and worked with Dick Clark for over three decades," said Gerry Cagle, President of Clear Channel Entertainment's Multimedia Division. "No one has had his finger on the pulse of contemporary music and been able to translate it to television like Dick. I'm proud to bring all the resources of Clear Channel to this venture. Hopefully, I'll get close enough to the man to learn the secret to stop aging."

Clark added: "We are creating a new platform to bring today's superstars and tomorrow's headliners to music lovers. And I'm getting richer in the process. Take that Mike Greene."

The series, produced by dick clark prods, will debut in the Fall of 2002.
