God willing, that is.
Under the deal, Epic will market and distribute a number of Integrity-owned and associated labels. In addition, Integrity will market and distribute key Epic releases to Christian retail outlets.
Though not confirmed, insiders say that the initial titles to be distributed by Integrity include J.Lo’s My G-String Stands for God and Incubus’ We Like to Get Cross.
According to Integrity, the company’s overall sales grew by 37%, establishing them as the #2 Christian music company at both mainstream and Christian-music outlets. In addition, the company boasts a 64% marketshare in the "Praise and Worship" genre. Naturally, the company has no marketshare presence in the "Dis and Loathe" field.
According to Epic President Polly Anthony: "I have every confidence that the combination of Integrity’s dynamic roster and Epic’s world-class marketing and promotion machine will prove to be a powerful force in the music marketplace. God only knows what a good deal this is."
According to Integrity Incorporated President and CEO Michael Coleman: "Our artists will have the full benefit of one of the most creative and effective marketing teams in the music industry, and our music and message will now reach more people than ever before. Now excuse me, I’m noshing bagels and lox with Ozzy Osbourne at the Sony Club."
