CLEAR CHANNEL CHIEF CHAFFED

In an internal memo to Clear Channel Entertainment staff, CEO Brian Becker reiterated the company’s new structure, which includes the promotion of regional operation heads Don Law and Dave Lucas to Chairman/Co-CEO and Co-CEO/President respectively. The memo also clarified that former CEOs Rodney Eckerman and Irv Zuckerman will remain with the company in some yet-determined capacity.

Becker also felt the need to send the memo to further state the company’s position on press leaks, charging that recent reports on the upcoming changes have been speculative and erroneous.

In the memo, which ironically was leaked to hitsdailydouble, he said, "Whoever is responsible [for the leak] has caused inaccurate and harmful information about our company to be communicated in the press. I find these events personally and professionally reprehensible."
