WEEK IN PREVIEW: WEATHERED REPORT IS GOOD

Creed Heads for 900k Bow, Now Is Timely, Kid and Pink Open Strong; Satan Said to Be Gloomy
As patriotic consumers celebrate the holiday season and rush to stores to jumpstart the economy, Wind-up's Creed is giving them a way to do both at once. The spiritual rockers are reaping what they've sown from the hit "My Sacrifice," with first-week sales for new set Weathered looking to be in the 900k range.

Holy Q4 retail action, Batman!

Debuts joining Creed in the Top 10 this week are "Now Vol. 8" (handled by Virgin this time out), which is threatening 500k, Lava/Atlantic's Kid Rock, looking to do over 200k, and Arista's Pink, headed for the 175k range.

Elsewhere on the chart, Murder Inc./IDJ's Ja Rule is movin' on up, thanks to his hit "Livin' It Up."

It's Jesus' time of the year at PoMo too, as Atlantic's P.O.D. look to take Most Added. The true believers at Crossover say Most Added will be Ja Rule, Mobb Deep, Mystikal and Brian McKnight in that order. Ryan Adams' timely "New York, New York" (Lost Highway/IDJ) will score adds at Top 40, Modern and Hot Adult. At Top 40, Epic's Michael Jackson will be invincible and there will be cleanup on J Records' Alicia Keys, Interscope's R. Kelly and Columbia's Aerosmith.

Hitting the streets Tuesday are Def Jam South's Ludacris, Busta Rhymes' J Records debut and Interscope's Smash Mouth, with the Sept. 11th-related ST from the Concert for New York on Columbia a wildcard in the mix.

And if you're really looking ahead, VH1's "My VH1 Awards" will air live on the channel Sunday night.
