NSYNC BOWS OUT OF JACKO ANNIVERSARY SHOWS

But Wait Till You Get to the Part About Angie Dickinson—That’s When It Gets Weird
The King of Pop is experiencing another slight setback in his gala two-night 30th anniversary shebang in NYC.

Because of rehearsal for the MTV Video Music Awards, pop quintet NSYNC has had to bow out of the Sept. 7 and 10 shows, reports E! Online.

"Due to scheduling conflicts, Michael Jackson and NSYNC will not have time to rehearse the ‘Dancing Machine’ number with the Jacksons in the way Michael planned to present it," said producer David Gest said in a statement. "Michael looks forward to working with NSYNC in the future as he is a very big fan of the group."

There was no further explanation of just what the "Dancing Machine" was.

While this may seem like a formidable setback on the surface, it only reduces the amount of "special guests" to Jacko’s party by about 1%.

The burgeoning guest list now includes the complete Jacksons/Jackson 5 lineup (Jackie, Jermaine, Tito, Marlon and Randy), Marc Anthony, Whitney Houston, Britney Spears, Destiny’s Child, Ray Charles, Shaggy, Jill Scott, Missy Elliott, Chris Tucker, Marlon Brando, Samuel L. Jackson, Elizabeth Taylor and Shaquille O’Neal. But that ain’t all. The Gloved One is also assembling—no foolin’—50 "Legendary Ladies of the Silver Screen," including Angie Dickinson, Patty Duke, Jennifer Jones, Eartha Kitt, Janet Leigh, Liza Minnelli, Debbie Reynolds, Jane Russell, Ruth Warrick and Esther Williams.

Shocking, isn’t it? I mean, who would’ve guessed Angie Dickinson was a "legendary lady of the silver screen"?

Both shows—and the cast of thousands—will be taped to be aired on CBS at a later date.
