Aguilera has been added to the line-up of performers on this year's MTV Video Music Awards September 7, which already includes Eminem, blink-182, DMX, Janet, NSYNC, Rage Against the Machine, the Chili Peppers and Britney Spears.
The two have been feuding since the rapper's chart-topping hit, "The Real Slim Shady," poked fun at Aguilera for allegedly having oral sex with "TRL" host carson daly',390,400);">carson daly',390,400);">Carson Daly and Limp Bizkit's fred durst',390,400);">fred durst',390,400);">Fred Durst.
The new track, "Slim Shady Please Shut Up," by Emily Ellis, who recorded it for a U.S. radio station, has been available on the Internet for several weeks. The song blasts Eminem's talent and attitude, while Ellis said she hoped Aguilera "might think it's funny or might want to record it herself." In the song, the singer as "Christina," says, as far as sexual exploits, both Daly and Durst "came closer than you ever will, jerk."
The real Aguilera stood up and told MTV.com, "I heard the song. It's just hilarious. It's so funny. The girl is so white, it's not even funny. I don't know who out there did this, but it's obviously in support of me. It's very cute, and I appreciate that… Now will you please excuse me? I have to get my lawyers to file a plagiarism suit against the broad."
