EDEL REACHES FOR LEACH

Promo Veteran Now Must Learn To Find Europe On A Map
Veteran music industry exec David Leach "Out I'll Be There" has been named Executive Vice President of Marketing and Promotion for the newly formed edel Entertainment by President/CEO Ron "Department of" Urban "Affairs."

In this new role, Leach will be responsible for the formation of a strategic business plan for edel Entertainment, as well as for all marketing, promotion, sales, press and Internet functions for the company. He'll also be in charge of telling old Alain Levy stories around the campfire.

Leach was previously Executive VP at Island Def Jam Music Group; before that, he served as Executive VP/GM of the Mercury Group for five years and was the fifth member of KISS. The 24-year vet made his mark as one of the leading radio promotion executives in the business.

Commented Urban: "David brings with him one of the most impressive track records in developing and breaking artists into the mainstream. His management abilities, combined with his long-cultivated relationships in radio and marketing, are among our strongest assets. Now, we just have to teach him to say 'You're my guy' in German."

Added Leach: "This is an incredible opportunity, and I look forward to working with these labels and industry pros. And to all the wienerschnitzel I can eat."
