JOHNNIE B. GOODE… JOHNNY B. PISSED… JOHNNY B. SUING CHUCK BERRY

Pianist Willing To Settle Royalty Suit For Lifetime Supply Of Viagra
Guitar legend Chuck Berry has been slapped with a lawsuit by his former partner, the equally legendary pianist Johnnie Johnson.

The suit, filed in St. Louis Federal District Court, seeks royalties for collaborations between the two musicians. Berry and Johnson wrote more than 50 songs together, including "Rock And Roll Music," "Roll Over Beethoven," Sweet Little Sixteen" and "No Particular Place To Go."

Johnson claims he never received writing credit or financial compensation for the songs. He maintains Berry registered the works in his name alone, and has disavowed Johnson's contributions to the classics.

Johnson, who served as the real-life inspiration for the Berry-penned rocker "Johnny B. Goode," had fallen on financial hardship, and was working as a bus driver until he was rediscovered by Rolling Stone Keith Richards in 1986.

Since then, Johnson has been inducted into the Boogie Woogie Hall of Fame and has received a Rhythm & Blues Foundation Pioneer Award.

While Johnson has stressed his willingness to settle the matter, Berry has reportedly refused. Berry was busy adding "Golden Showers" soup to the menu at his Missouri-based Southern Air restaurant to comment.
