Label Moves From Elektra To WB

March 21, 2000

Long a subsidiary of Elektra, Nashville-based Asylum Records has shifted to being a part of Warner Bros. Records. The move is a result of corporate restructuring.

The label will move its offices to 24 Music Square East, right next door to the Warner/Reprise Building, on March 29.

Collateral damage of the restructuring includes Asylum A&R Manager Anthony Van Dolen, A&R Coordinator Valerie Main and VP of Marketing/Sales Walt Wilson. Creative Services Director Michael Hagewood has also left, moving to an analogous gig at Elektra New York.

Copies of the David Geffen biography will continue to be confiscated at Asylum’s front desk.
