A*TEEN INJURED AT DISNEYLAND SHOW

Not Just "A Teen," But A Member Of A*Teens Tears Ligaments In Left Leg, Screams "Mama Mia"
A*Teens' Dhani Lennevald, 15, was injured during a show at Disneyland in Anaheim Tuesday, causing the cancellation of a second show slated for later that evening.

Lennevald tore ligaments in his left leg and will be dropping out of the remainder of the band's current tour, but the injury is not expected to affect the upcoming support slot on Britney Spears trek, said a spokesperson for the band's label, MCA Records. They will support Spears on the road in July and August.

The A*Teens were performing in Disneyland's Tomorrowland Terrace. The injury occurred during the performance of their No. 1 European hit "Mamma Mia" at the end of their grueling 15-minute set.

The commotion caused by Lennevald's being whisked away in an ambulance allowed MCA honchos to hit Space Mountain, Indian Jones and the Pirates of the Caribbean in record time.

"Mr. Toad's Wild Ride is a death trap," one MCA staffer said commenting on the injury while waiting on line for the Matterhorn.

Disneyland employees said Lennevald was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The band is now scheduled to perform as a trio for the remainder of the Radio Disney tour, today (4/27) in Miami and Saturday (4/ 29) in Plainville, NY. No word yet on whether Bjorn Ulvaeus might step in as a temporary replacement.
