SIMMONS TAKES HIP-HOP TO THE WEB

Rap Pioneer Ready to Launch 360HIPHOP.com in June
Rap is ready to invade the Internet hood.

Russell Simmons, a pioneer in the hip-hop industry and founder of Def Jam Records, has introduced 360HIPHOP.com, a destination point on the Internet for all things hip-hop.

The site, which provides the latest in hip-hop trends, news and lifestyle including fashion, politics and music, will be officially launched early this summer. 360HIPHOP.com is being developed to attract people interested in the hip-hop experience.

The site will utilize a multi-media approach to deliver content, providing the user with the latest in hip-hop trends and information, as well as connect users, and hip-hop celebrities/personalities, in a virtual hip-hop nation. Especially interesting will be interactive sites devoted to "Puffy's Gun Collection" and "Snoop Dogg's Greatest Spliffs."

“Our goal is to be the number one destination for hip-hop culture on the Internet,” said rap pioneer Simmons. “Fans can visit the site to get news on their favorite artist, download music, chat with other fans, shop for music and merchandise or represent.”

360HIPHOP.com will officially launch in June 2000, providing online community sites, original content and e-commerce.
