VIBE GOES WITH THAT SHAKE

We mark the arrival of two acts on Vibe-Raters this week, and the ascent of two others.

First to the newcomers. Baauer (aka Henry Rodriguez), is the Brooklyn EDM producer behind "Harlem Shake," the most powerful strain of viral pop culture since a certain jam from Korea.

The track, on Jeffree's/Mad Decent/Warner Bros., is riding the 100 million+ YouTube views for official and fan-made videos to multi-format radio love. Sirius XM Hits 1 and The Heat, WNOW, Z100, Hot97, KIIS, KPWR, 98.7, WPWX, B96, KISQ, KITS. KYLD, KHKS and KKHH are among the movers and Shakers. The track is Top 5 at iTunes as of this writing.

Our other debuting artist is Caribbean rapper Trinidad James, with "All Gold Everything" and upcoming track "Female$ Welcomed," both from his T.I.G./Gold Gang/Def Jam/IDJ EP Don't Be S.A.F.E. "Gold" is Top 5 Urban and Top 10 Xover (and 400k+ sold), with "Female$" starting at Urban (and Xover targeted in two weeks).

Add MTV and BET 106 & Park to the 15 million online views for the video, with a re-mix clip featuring Jeezy, T.I. and 2 Chainz just out.

Vibe vets and triple Grammy nominees Alabama Shakes, meanwhile, have moved to the top spot. Powered by back-to-back killer TV perfs (singer Brittany Howard on the Grammys, then the band on SNL), their ATO full-length Boys & Girls hit #1 on the iTunes album chart.

The clip for lead single "Hold On" is now in VH1 Large rotation and on MTV Buzzworthy and mtvU; it's also enjoyed more than 5 million YouTube views. The track--Rolling Stone's #1 Song of 2012--is also having a vibrant second life at PoMo, led by KROQ, KKDO and Sirius XM Alt Nation; support is building at Hot AC. Second single "Hang Loose" is #21 at Triple A. It's been added at WTTS and WMMM and is spinning at KFOG, KCKC, KINK, KRVB and more. The band also played the MusiCares Springsteen pre-Grammy event.

And then there's British phenomenon Emeli Sande. After nearly a year atop the U.K. charts, this multi-format singer-songwriter won two big BRIT Awards (Best Female Artist and Album of the Year) and saw her Capitol album Our Version of Events leap into the iTunes Top 10. And her U.S. explosion has begun.

Top 40 adds for her beguiling single "Next to Me" include KHKS, KZHT, KMVQ and WPLW, among others. It's also Top 25 at Hot AC, with adds at KLCK, KMXW, KPLZ, WTSS, WMYX and more. Emeli is spinning at KIIS, KBIG, WWFS, KZZU, Sirius XM Hits 1 and The Pulse, WBMX, KTCZ, KQKQ, WBMX, more. A new version of the track featuring Kendrick Lamar, now at radio, extends the song's reach to other formats.

Recent TV includes Today (1/29), Letterman (1/31), Kimmel (2/5), Ellen (2/7) and GMA (2/25). Her video's enjoyed 100m+ total views on VEVO.
