Congrats go out to all of the Atlanta Falcons fans, as they are headed to the Super Bowl after dismantling the Green Bay Packers in a blowout. For the New England Patriots, this will be Tom Brady and coach Bill Belichick’s record seventh Super Bowl together. That is a record I don’t see being broken in my lifetime. Hate them all you want—I sure do—but they just keep winning.
This will be an interesting game for PD Dan Hunt at WWPW, Atlanta, a lifelong Patriots fan. WB’s Lee L’Heureux and Epic’s Todd Glassman are also notorious Pats fans. The Patriots are an early three-point favorite to win.
Much like the Patriots, Republic’s Drake also continues to win. “Fake Love” (YMCMB) tops the chart again this week, and looks to hold for at least another one. Gary Spangler, Davey Dee and Stef Cole also have Amine’s “Caroline” at #4, up 150 spins, as well as The Weeknd f/Daft Punk’s “I Feel It Coming” (XO) gaining 280 spins, and climbing to #8. His other track, “Party Monster,” moves to #12, up 320 spins. Ariana Grande f/Future’s “Everyday” rockets #35-26, thanks to a 535-spin increase. Sean Paul f/Dua Lipa’s “No Lie” (Island) has a very impressive first week, gaining 150 spins and coming in at #52. And have you seen the Apple iPhone 7 commercial with the guy dancing on the car, side of the street, etc.? The act is Marian Hill and the song is “Down” (Photo Finish). The record is exploding on Shazam, where it is #1 in many markets, and the sales are on fire as well. They are impacting multiple formats this week, including Rhythm.
Def Jam’s Rick Sackheim and Noah Sheer have back to back records in the Top 10, as Rihanna’s “Love On The Brain” (Westbury Road/Roc Nation) is #5, up 190 spins, and Big Sean’s “Bounce Back” (G.O.O.D.) moves #8-6, up 380 spins. They also have Alessia Cara’s “Scars To Your Beautiful” at #14, tacking on another 125 spins. Big Sean’s “Moves” just misses debuting at #42, but is already at #38 on the building chart. He was up 240 spins.
Are you paying attention to what Glassnote’s Childish Gambino “Redbone” is doing? The sales continue to climb, and it is now #44 on U.S. Shazam chart! Do yourself a favor and spend some time with this. Childish (Donald Glover) is in the hit TV show Atlanta, and will be in the upcoming Star Wars film.
Sujit Kundu and Epic Records see Travis Scott’s “Goosebumps” (Grand Hustle) break into the Top 25 this week. It was up an impressive 330 spins. Not far behind is 21 Savage f/Future’s “X” at #27. Future also has “Used To This” featuring Drake, which sees a 150-spin increase, and comes in at #28. DJ Esco f/Future & Lil Uzi Vert’s “Too Much Sauce” is nearing the chart, coming in at #49 this week; he is up 75 spins.

It moves to #33, adding an additional 135 spins to the total. Make sure you check out Taylor Girlz’s “Steal Her Man” as they are gearing up to impact soon.
