CROSSOVER
What a first quarter it has been for Ayelet Schiffman and James White at Columbia! They’ve held down #1 for four weeks with Beyoncé f/Jay Z’s “Drunk in Love,” and this week they place Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” in the top spot. The record was also the #1 Greatest Gainer yet again this week. To top it all off, they have the three Most Increased records. John Legend’s “All of Me” climbs into the Top 10, gaining over 375 spins, and Beyoncé’s new single, “Partition,” moves inside the Top 20 with an increase of 450 spins. They also have DJ Snake & Lil Jon’s “Turn Down for What” inside the Top 20, increasing 250 spins. And I’m told that we’ll have the remix f/Luda, 2 Chainz, and Juicy J this week. Finally, make sure you check out Calvin Harris’ “Summer,” which is already buzzing at Pop… Gary Spangler and Davey Dee at Republic have Lorde’s “Team” at #8 and still growing. They also have Martin Garrix’s “Animals” at #23, The Chainsmokers’ “#Selfie” leaping into the Top 25, increasing over 300 spins, and Young Money f/Drake “Trophies” having the largest debut (#30) to go along with a 340-spin gain. Look for Adrian Marcel’s “2AM” to chart in the next few weeks. They’ll also be impacting Young Money’s “Lookin Ass” this week… IDJ has their hands full with Jay Z f/Beyoncé’s “Part II (On the Run)” at #16 and up nearly 300 spins. They’ve also done a tremendous job with Jhene Aiko’s “The Worst,” which is growing consistently; this week it increases over 270 spins! Mariah Carey’s “You’re Mine (Eternal)” sits at #36, and they debut YG f/Drake’s “Who Do You Love” this week at #39. Rick Sackhiem, Noah Sheer and Scott Maness are looking to chart Ludacris f/Wiz Khalifa, Jeremih & Cashmere Cat’s “Party Girls,” which is at #42 right now, as well as Iggy Azalea’s “Fancy,” which is making its way up the chart and should debut in the next two weeks. This coming week will find them impacting August Alsina f/B.o.B & Yo Gotti new record “Numb…” The crew at RCA shows no signs of slowing down as they take Chris Brown f/Lil Wayne’s “Loyal” #7-6, up over 300 spins. They also continue to grow Shakira f/Rihanna’s “Can’t Remember to Forget You”, which is at #37 this week. Just outside the chart, they have Kid Ink f/Chris Brown’s “Main Chick,” Pitbull f/GRL’s “Wild Wild Love” and Justin Timberlake’s “Not a Bad Thing.” This week, they’re impacting Tinashe f/School Boy Q’s “2AM,” which has a nice buzz on the West Coast… Lee L’Heureux and Warner Bros. are fighting tooth and nail to get Jason Derulo f/2 Chainz’ “Talk Dirty” to #1. It’s currently #2 and only Pharrell stands in his way… Sujit Kundu and Epic did a great job in debuting Kat Dahlia’s “Crazy” this week at #38. They also have Future f/Pharrell’s “Move That Doh” rolling up the Urban chart, while reaching up over 180 spins on the Rhythm chart. Look for this one to chart in the next few weeks… Don’t look now, but Glassnote and Nick P have Childish Gambino’s “3005” making big moves. I’ve mentioned this record a number of times and it looks like it’s about to go to the next level. The sales and Shazam numbers continue to increase, and new commitments come in each week. This is a record!
