The boys of summer have returned and baseball is in full swing, the NBA and NHL playoffs have started and those are all sure signs that summer is just around the corner. Historically, we all know the big summer releases drive up the sales numbers and, based on the numbers from the first quarter, we should have a lot to look forward to! Bring it!! Columbia’s Leipsner, Borris & Vaughan are on fire right now with two songs from The Chainsmokers in the Top 10, “Paris” (Disruptor) at #3 and “Something Just Like This” with Coldplay moving up to #8. Newly released Harry Styles’ “Sign of the Times” is breaking all kinds of records and it is the #1 Greatest Gainer this week at Pop climbing to #19. James Arthur’s “Say You Won’t Let Go” moves to #13 and is now #1 U.S. Shazam. Calvin Harris f/Frank Ocean & Migos’ “Slide” is now Top 15 and is pulling in 5m streams a week U.S. and 18m globally. It's a brutal world if you are fighting to move up in the Top 10 at T40 right now—like a really bad game of musical chairs, with not much dropping out or moving in. There's little difference in the Top 20 either, but two notable exceptions are Linkin Park's "Heavy" f/Kiiara (Warner Bros.) which makes the jump to Top 15 and Starley's "Call On Me" (Epic) which joins the Top 20, climbing to #19.  This week's Greatest Gainer of course is the new release from Harry Styles, as "Sign Of The Times" (Columbia) not only charts, but climbs all the way up inside the Top 20. Halsey's "Now or Never" (Astralwerks/Capitol) joins the Top 30 and is the second Greatest Gainer on the chart.  Also hitting the chart this week will be Chance The Rapper's "All Night" f/Knox Fortune.
