POST MALONE, MICHAEL BAY AND VAULT COMICS TO CREATE NEW UNIVERSE

Post Malone will collaborate with director Michael Bay and Brad Fuller’s Platinum Dunes production company and Vault Comics to craft a universe based on his original IP.

Blending elements of Mad Max: Fury Road and Evil Dead, the narrative is set in medieval Europe, where a mysterious armored 18-wheeler becomes the last line of defense against demonic hordes.

“I’m so pumped to share this badass story with the world, and I couldn’t ask for better partners than Michael Bay and Vault to help bring this story to life,” said Malone, who earlier this year became the first artist to earn double-diamond certification for a single, 2018’s “Sunflower” with Swae Lee (Posty can claim diamond status for seven additional singles: 2016’s “White Iverson,” “Congratulations” and “I Fall Apart,” 2018’s “Rockstar,” “Psycho” and “Better Now” and 2019’s “Circles”).

Vault will launch the untitled project as a graphic novel, set for publication in 2025. Malone, Platinum Dunes and Vault—all repped by UTA—will concurrently develop a feature film.

“This is the kind of project you dream about,” said Vault CEO Damian Wassel. “We get to work with an exceptional artist at the top of his game to build a completely original story from the ground up. We have an iconic director helping to guide the creative development. We’re going to bring the world a mind-blowing graphic novel, and that’s just the beginning.”

“I love working with talented people, and Post Malone is incredibly gifted,” added Bay. “I’m excited to work with him on such an intriguing idea, and when you add Vault to the mix, it raises the bar to another level. This new IP is just what the graphic world needs right now.”
