RSD 2024 DROPS ITS LIST OF TITLES

Previously unreleased music by Talking Heads and Nat King Cole highlight the list of titles coming out on Record Store Day this April. Add in vinyl from Wilco, Sparks, Neil Young and hundreds of others and you know it’ll be another mad dash for limited-edition gems.

On 4/20 Rhino will issue Talking Heads’ 14-song LIVE AT WCOZ 77 as one of its 39 limited-edition releases from the Warner Music Group vaults. Included are albums by David Bowie, the Doors and the Grateful Dead, plus boxed sets by Dwight Yoakam, Linda Ronstadt, Mudhoney and Tom Verlaine.

Sony Music’s Legacy Recordings vinyl offerings include a star-studded set of live tributes to Willie Nelson, an expanded version of Wilco’s The Whole Love, a 30th anniversary deluxe iteration of G. Love & Special Sauce and a collection of rare tracks from NasIllmatic era.

Sparks’ No. 1 in Heaven and the Sparks-written-and-produced Is There More to Life Than Dancing, by singer Noël, are being released on colored vinyl through Lil’ Beethoven Records in honor of their 45th anniversaries.

A recording of Nat King Cole’s performances during the week of 9/28/53 are featured on the double LP Live at the Blue Note Chicago. The collection features Cole playing piano and singing, backed by John Collins on guitar, Charlie Harris on bass and Lee Young on drums.
