U.K. CHARTS: SKEPTA LANDS AT #2

Lewis Capaldi has denied Skepta his first #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums chart this week as Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent (Virgin EMI) extends its reign for a third week on 29k combined sales. Over on singles, Katy Perry has the highest new entry at #13.

Skepta’s Ignorance is Bliss (Boy Better Know) settles for second place, matching his previous album, the Mercury-winning Konnichiwa, which peaked at #2 in 2016.

Richard Hawley’s Further (BMG) ends the week at #3, and Susan Boyle closes the Top 5 with her 10th anniversary compilation, Ten (Syco), at #5.

Outside the Top 10, Chase & Status collect their fourth Top 40 with Rtrn II Jungle (Virgin EMI) at #12. The Spice Girls' Greatest Hits (Virgin Records) climbs back into the Top 20 as their reunion tour continues, rising eight to #16.

An album of unreleased and rare recordings by the late Rory Gallagher, Blues (UMC), charts at #17, while Miley Cyrus’s new EP, She Is Coming (RCA), opens at #18.

On the Official Singles Charts, the Top 5 remains unchanged as Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber spend a fourth week at the top with “I Don’t Care” (Atlantic), while Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” (Columbia) stays at #2.

After Perry at #13 with “Never Really Over” (Virgin EMI), Skepta claims the second highest new entry with “What do you Mean” f/J Hus at #14. Elsewhere, Lewis Capaldi’s “Bruises” debuts at #16 and Miley’s “Mother’s Daughter” opens at #31.
