U.K. MIDWEEKS: JORJA ON OUR MIND

A trio of Atlantic acts—Jess Glynne, Clean Bandit and Anne-Marie—are battling it out for the U.K.’s Official Singles #1 this week, while rising star Jorja Smith has started at #3 with her self-released debut album, Lost & Found (FAMM).

Glynne has risen one place to take the lead on singles with “I’ll Be There,” followed by Clean Bandit’s “Solo” f/Demi Lovato less than 1k combined sales behind. At the halfway stage, there are only 300 sales between “Solo” and “2002” by Anne-Marie at #3.

George Ezra has risen four places to #4 with “Shotgun” (Columbia), while Cardi B is also up four to #9 with “I Like It” f/Bad Bunny & J Balvin (Atlantic). Smith looks set for this week’s highest new entry with album track “Blue Lights” at #38.

On the Official Albums midweek update, The Greatest Showman soundtrack (Atlantic) is on course for its 19th week at #1.

Should Smith’s Lost & Found maintain or improve its midweek peak, the British artist will continue the trend of Critics’ Choice winners charting within the Top 3 with their debuts.

The Beach Boys with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (UMC/Virgin) is the second highest new entry at #4, followed by Parlophone artist Lily Allen at #5 with fourth album, No Shame.

Kanye West and Kid Cudi start at #13 with their self-titled debut album, Kids See Ghosts (Virgin EMI).
