WBR INKS WALE

Wale, the first rapper to open a president’s State of the Union, has signed with Warner Bros. Records and will release his sixth full-length album this year.

WBR is releasing a song, Black Bonnie” f/Jacquees, from his latest MMG/Every Blue Moon release today; it is part of a four-track EP Wale dropped in March, It’s Complicated.

“He is a pillar in the hip-hop community and beyond,” said WBR Co-Chairman & COO Tom Corson. “With his cultural relevance and lyrical prose, he continues to elevate the game. Wale is truly a force to be reckoned with and we look forward to a successful partnership for years to come.”

Wale, who has his own creative content company Every Blue Moon and a sneaker line, said, “I am thrilled to be at a company that is willing to showcase my artistry, while supporting my entrepreneurial spirit. I felt their passion, commitment, and enthusiasm from day one. They believed in my vision whole heartedly, and I am ready to show and prove.”
