DAMN! KENDRICK AWARDED PULITZER

Kendrick Lamar has made history, becoming the first non-jazz or non-classical artist to win the Pulitzer Prize in Music, which honored his album DAMN.

"A virtuosic song collection," wrote the Pulitzer board, "unified by its vernacular authenticity and rhythmic dynamism that offers affecting vignettes capturing the complexity of modern African-American life... Plus, it's mega-dope."

This incredible recognition follows another artistic and culturally significant work to come from Lamar, who executive produced Black Panther: The Album – Music from and Inspired By, the accompanying soundtrack to what is now the biggest comic book superhero movie ever.

This summer, the 30-year-old superstar will be performing live on The Championship Tour, which kicks off in Vancouver on 5/4 and features Lamar supported by several of his Top Dawg labelmates, namely SZA, ScHoolboy Q, Jay Rock and Ab-Soul.
