The Top 5 Highest-Grossing Films in America Over the Weekend

This holiday weekend, Disney/Marvel’s feverishly anticipated Black Panther enjoyed the fifth-largest three-day opening ever, pulling in more than $200m. According to revised numbers from Disney, the film finished with about $235m for the four-day stretch—the largest February opening in history. And as it slid past Jurassic World's $234m, it earned the third-largest four-day gross.

Although it's the 18th film from the Marvel universe to be released, it's also the second-largest opening there, behind only 2012's The Avengers ($207m)
