The Top 5 Highest-Grossing Films in America Over the Weekend

Three debuts topped the domestic box office this weekend. Universal's Fifty Shades Freed landed at #1 with close to $40m. This is the lowest bow of the franchise; 2015's Fifty Shades of Grey broke February records with $85.1m, while 2017's Fifty Shades Darker opened with $46.6m.

Meanwhile, for the first time since its opening eight weeks ago, Sony's Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle falls outside of the Top 2.
