RICH THE KID'S GREAT SKATE

(Rich Forever/Interscope) artist Rich The Kid is currently sitting atop Spotify’s prestigious Rap Caviar playlist with a video feature entitled Rich The Kid: Forever Skate.

Kid’s single “New Freezer,” which features Kendrick Lamar, has racked up 29m U.S. streams and 48m globally.

“I am the new wave of music, with a feature out with Kendrick Lamar—Kendrick doesn’t work with just anybody,” the Kid explains, “you can have the biggest song but you gotta keep working.”

“New Freezer” is snagging placement on several key Apple Music hip hop lists as well, including The A List: Hip Hop, It’s Lit!!! and On Repeat.

The song is just getting going at radio; currently at #32 Urban airplay and #53 Rhythmic so far.

The “diary” piece, meanwhile, shows love for skate culture as it follows the Atlanta rapper through the art-design process for three new boards, all while discussing his journey in music.
