"DESPACITO" DOMINATES 2017 LATIN GRAMMYS

Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee were the big winners at the 2017 Latin Grammys, taking home four trophies for their history-making smash “Despacito," winning Record and Song of the Year, along with Best Music Video.

Fonsi, Yankee and collaborator Justin Bieber, who collected his first Latin Grammy tonight, also won for Best Urban Fusion/Performance.

Vicente García was the other notable winner, with three awards for Best New Artist, Best Tropical Song and Best Singer-Songwriter Album.

The show started off on a solemn note, as hosts Rosalyn Sanchez and Jaime Camil presided over a moment of silence for their homes of Puerto Rico and Mexico, respectively.

Lin-Manuel Miranda was honored with the President's Merit Award for his outstanding contributions to the Latin community, including spearheading relief efforts for Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria.

"I know I'm a weird theater kid here, with a weird accent," Miranda said in his acceptance speech, "but let's keep collaborating and show the world that Latinos can change the world when we collaborate."

Several fiery live performances were featured, from J Balvin, Juanes, Maluma, and Residente plus French Montana, EDM DJ Steve Aoki and Logic, who delivered an incredible Latin Remix of "1-800-273-8255" featuring Juanes & Alessia Cara.
