A SPIRITED BREAKFAST FOR CAPSHAW

The City of Hope honored its 2017 Spirit of Life recipient, Red Light chief Coran Capshaw, at a WeHo breakfast Tuesday, with an array of biz heavies in attendance.

Board members Rob Light (CAA Partner/Managing Director/Head of Music) and Evan Lamberg (UMPG President, North America) were joined by industry heavyweights like AEG's Jay Marciano, Warner Bros. Records Chairman/CEO Cameron Strang, Warner/Chappell topper Jon Platt, Capitol Music Group COO Michelle Jubelirer, Interscope Vice Chairman Steve Berman, Paradigm Chairman Sam Gores, CAA Agent Carol Kinzel, UMG CFO/EVP Boyd Muir and Red Light Management’s Chief Strategy Officer/EVP Bruce Flohr and COO Bruce Eskowitz.

Warner Bros. Records EVP Peter Gray asked for a moment of silence for the victims of the terrorist attack in Manchester—“an attack on artistry,” as he described it—before bringing up featured speaker Dr. Sumanta “Monty” Pal.

Capshaw will formally receive the Spirit of Life honor at a gala on 11/2 from COH’s Music Film and Entertainment Industry Group, which has raised $113 million+ for medical research and treatment.

David Renzer, Kathy Nelson, Rob Light, Evan Lamberg, Don Passman, John Frankenhiemer, Gary Stiffelman, Jeff Frasco, Capshaw, Bruce Eskowitz, Peter Gray, Zach Horowitz and Larry Vallon all agree that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
